WHAT IS INDIVIDUAL THERAPY?
If you’re looking for a therapist who offers real understanding and real tools, you’re in the right place.
Individual therapy at NYC Cognitive Therapy goes beyond talk—it's structured, active, and focused on helping you feel and function better.
You'll work one-on-one with a therapist trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to uncover patterns that keep you stuck, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build new, more effective ways of coping and responding. Our work is collaborative and skills-based—designed to create lasting change.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes, and most clients begin with weekly or twice-weekly meetings to build momentum. For some concerns—like OCD, trauma, or more complex presentations—90-minute sessions or more frequent appointments may be recommended. Your therapist will work with you to find the right structure for your needs and goals.
This is focused, evidence-based therapy—tailored to you, and designed to create meaningful, lasting change.
